ABOUT

The Saddleworth Creative Network was set up in 2011 not only to bring the wonderful creative and handmade craft products and services back to Uppermill but also to be a source of support to local crafters, artisan producers and creative small businesses.

Now run by Claire Hilton from Austerlands, the group has become a household name in the local craft community.

The Facebook group has provided a great forum for creative and craft enthusiasts to get together online to share information and advice, along with showcasing the wonderful items they have created to potential customers.

Joining the facebook group is a free and easy way to network with other creative people and customers.

Our craft festivals in the Saddleworth villages were a great success and provided our crafters with a great way of bringing their products to people directly. There was also the opportunity to demonstrate how crafts are made and show the unique talents of our members and maybe inspire the next generation of craft enthusiasts.

Our network includes creative people and businesses in the area approximately 15 miles around Saddleworth, including Oldham, Tameside, Kirklees, Rochdale, Manchester, the South Pennines, Cheshire, Lancashire and surrounding areas.

We now work with a select few local events and event organisers to promote fairs and markets in the local area and make connections between them and our traders.

If you are an event organiser who may be interested in promoting your event to stall holders then please contact Claire on scntraders@gmail.com
